Area Sales Manager – Smart Street Lighting (Montenegro)

About the role

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for building Urbio’s presence in assigned territories (initially Montenegro) by generating new business opportunities and developing relationships with municipalities, public authorities, distributors, and infrastructure partners. This hunter role focuses on creating business from scratch, with most time spent in the field meeting prospects and developing long‑term commercial opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new markets and build sales pipelines from the ground up through cold outreach, networking and extensive field visits.
• Visit municipalities, city councils, public institutions, contractors and distributors across the assigned region.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation and closing.
• Identify and qualify public tenders, collaborating with technical/pre‑sales teams on proposals.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and regional growth opportunities.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast using the company CRM.

Required profile

• 5+ years of enterprise B2B/B2G sales experience with a proven track record of building sales from zero.
• Direct experience selling to municipalities, public authorities or through public procurement/tenders.
• Background in street lighting, energy, smart‑city, infrastructure or electrical‑equipment industries.
• Strong business‑development, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• Comfortable with intensive field sales and frequent regional travel.
• Self‑driven, resilient and able to work independently.
• Fluent English and the local language of the territory; Albanian is a plus.
