Senior Database Reliability Engineer (Remote)

About the role

CloudLinux / TuxCare is looking for a Senior Database Reliability Engineer to join its remote‑first Infrastructure DBA cell. You will own production database reliability, automate routine DBA work and support engineering teams across PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, MongoDB and Redis.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain highly‑available PostgreSQL clusters (Patroni, PgBouncer, replication, failover, upgrades, backups, PITR).
• Improve disaster‑recovery processes, runbooks and measurable RTO/RPO targets.
• Troubleshoot incidents and enhance monitoring for ClickHouse, MongoDB and Redis.
• Automate provisioning, grants, backups and health‑checks with Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu and GitLab CI/CD.
• Develop self‑service DBaaS capabilities for engineering teams.
• Boost observability using Grafana, metrics, alerts and Opsgenie routing.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on PostgreSQL experience in production environments.
• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL internals, replication, autovacuum, backups and recovery.
• Experience with Linux system administration, networking, storage and performance troubleshooting.
• Ability to learn and operate ClickHouse, MongoDB and Redis quickly.
• Proficiency with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu) and CI/CD pipelines.
