Compliance Officer

About the role

Jugopetrol AD, a leading oil and oil derivatives company in Montenegro, is seeking a proactive Compliance Officer to join its team. The role involves ensuring the company meets all legal and regulatory obligations while fostering a culture of ethical conduct.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain compliance policies and procedures aligned with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise management on necessary compliance actions.
• Conduct compliance and risk assessments, identify potential risks and recommend corrective measures.
• Ensure adherence to applicable laws, internal policies and Group standards.
• Monitor, investigate and report compliance issues, breaches and conflicts of interest.
• Act as the Data Protection Officer (DPO) and oversee data protection matters.
• Deliver compliance training and promote awareness of ethical standards across the organization.
• Collaborate with internal departments, external advisors and the Group Compliance function.

Required profile

• University degree in Law.
• Minimum two years of experience in compliance, legal or risk management.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and communication abilities.
• High integrity, discretion and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in English.
