Cluster Director, Security

About the role

The Cluster Director, Security is responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for guests, colleagues and company assets across two resort properties in Montenegro. Reporting to the Cluster General Manager with a dotted line to the Hotel Manager, the role combines strategic security leadership with hands‑on operational oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain safe work method statements and fire‑prevention programmes aligned with the resort’s Incident Management System.
• Lead, train and motivate a security team, ensuring daily patrolling, CCTV monitoring and effective enforcement of security policies.
• Coordinate fire drills, fire‑system inspections and firefighting team training in partnership with certified fire‑safety trainers.
• Manage access control, bag checks, contractor and visitor passes, and conduct security searches of associate accommodation rooms.
• Maintain strong relationships with local police and investigation departments and oversee any required external security liaison.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in a comparable security leadership role.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop security personnel.
• Excellent conflict‑resolution and lateral‑thinking skills, with the capacity to remain calm in crisis situations.
• Strong understanding of local laws, Kerzner policies and relevant safety regulations.

Required skills

• Trained use and operation of firefighting equipment.
• Proficiency with CCTV systems and radio communication equipment.
• Computer literacy for generating and managing preventative maintenance schedules.
• Ability to conduct fire‑system checks and oversee fire‑preventative maintenance programmes.
