Purchasing Manager – 5-Star Hotel in Montenegro

About the role

The Purchasing Manager will lead the procurement function for a new 5‑star Iberostar hotel in Bar, Montenegro. You will ensure that all hotel departments receive the right products at the right time while maintaining optimal stock levels and controlling costs.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the Purchasing Department to guarantee proper provisioning and avoid excess or stock‑outs.
• Conduct periodic inventory counts, calculate consumption, and manage deviations from plans.
• Process purchase orders, centralise requests from all departments and dispatch them to suppliers.
• Review, authorise and post invoices.
• Control merchandise receipt, supervise supplier deliveries and verify delivery notes.
• Manage storage space, ensure correct identification, location, humidity and temperature conditions.
• Monitor product expiry dates and coordinate supplies to hotel and kitchen areas.
• Lead, recruit, train and evaluate the purchasing team, and schedule staff according to occupancy.

Required profile

• Strong planning and organisational abilities.
• Relevant education (e.g., hospitality, supply chain, business).
• Minimum two years of experience in a similar purchasing or procurement role.
• English proficiency at B2 level; additional languages are a plus.
• Knowledge of accounting, invoicing, inventory management and product preservation.
