Technical Lead - Finance Systems

About the role

Betby, a fast-growing iGaming company with offices in Latvia, Malta, Spain, Greece and Montenegro, is looking for a Technical Lead to lead the technical development within its Finance function. You will be the technical owner and key point of contact for Finance technology, covering ERP, back-office development, integrations, automation, data architecture, reporting solutions and future Finance technology initiatives. This is a hands-on technical leadership role reporting to the Head of Finance and leading a Finance Technical Team of 2 people.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical architecture and development of the Finance systems landscape, including ERP/NetSuite, back-office, integrations, automation and Finance data solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and own delivery from design and estimation through development, testing and deployment.
• Lead and support the Finance Technical Team while staying actively involved in hands-on development.
• Act as the main technical point of contact for Finance, working with Product, Technology, Security, Infrastructure and external partners.
• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable and maintainable, and review and challenge technical solutions, architectures and estimates proposed by internal teams and external vendors.

Required profile

• Production backend development experience with Python.
• Full-stack development experience with JavaScript / TypeScript and React.
• Strong experience with REST APIs, system integrations, NoSQL and MongoDB.
• Experience with system design and solution architecture across multiple systems.
• English level B2.
• Nice to have: ERP, finance, payment or other enterprise systems experience; Oracle NetSuite / SuiteScript / SuiteTalk experience; FinTech, iGaming or other complex transactional environment experience.

Required skills

• Docker, CI/CD and cloud environments.
• Authentication, authorization and integration patterns such as OAuth2, JWT, API keys, service-to-service auth, webhooks, queues, asynchronous processing, retries and idempotency.
