Security Manager – Luxury Resort

About the role

The Security Manager will safeguard guests, staff and assets at Aman Sveti Stefan, a prestigious resort in Montenegro. Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead security strategy, emergency response and risk mitigation while maintaining the property’s discreet atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise surveillance systems, access controls, radios and emergency equipment.
• Conduct routine patrols of guest areas, staff zones, back‑of‑house and perimeter posts.
• Develop, review and lead emergency response protocols for fire, medical, natural disaster and security incidents.
• Coordinate drills and scenario‑based training with internal teams and outsourced guards.
• Perform regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities across the property.
• Oversee VIP protection protocols when required.
• Handle guest incidents, lost property and security‑related complaints with discretion.
• Ensure compliance with local laws, Aman corporate standards and insurance requirements.
• Maintain detailed records of incidents, audits, inspections, training and agency communications.

Required profile

• 2‑year degree in Criminal Justice or a related field from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in security, loss prevention or a comparable role, preferably within luxury hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of local security, safety and emergency‑response regulations.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and implement corrective actions.
