Platform Engineer – Remote

About the role

Join CloudLinux’s Automation & Management Services cell as a Platform Engineer. You will work remotely with a small, high‑impact team to keep core platform services reliable, automated, and scalable.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the observability platform, monitoring cost, capacity and alerts.
• Manage GitLab and the CI runner fleet – upgrades, capacity planning, access control, backups and restore drills.
• Ensure health of all platform services through monitoring, runbooks and proactive maintenance.
• Design, build and launch new services from scratch, following best‑practice as‑code principles.
• Support developer requests – onboarding, pipeline issues, exporters, dashboards – and turn repeatable tasks into self‑service.
• Lead incident response: diagnose, mitigate, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Deliver all changes as reviewed code and produce clear documentation for cross‑team consumption.
• Collaborate with AI agents for data collection and drafting, reviewing their output as you would a colleague’s merge request.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in infrastructure, platform or site‑reliability engineering.
• Responsibility for at least one production service in a similar role.
• Ability to walk through technical solutions and decisions in detail.
