Kitchen Steward / Dishwasher – Traditional Restaurant

About the role

Apt Resources is recruiting, on behalf of a traditional restaurant in Montenegro, a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Steward/Dishwasher to support daily kitchen operations. The restaurant focuses on traditional cuisine and maintains high standards of cleanliness, organisation and service. The role supports the wider back-of-house team by keeping the kitchen clean, flowing and ready for service.

Key responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain clean dishwashing stations and follow restaurant hygiene standards.
• Sort, store and organise clean dishes and kitchen supplies.
• Remove waste and keep kitchen floors and work areas clean.
• Support kitchen staff with basic cleaning and closing duties.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stored properly and report shortages when necessary.
• Follow the restaurant's health, safety and sanitation procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Dishwasher, Kitchen Steward or in a similar restaurant kitchen support role.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safe cleaning practices.
• Able to stand for long periods and handle relatively light lifting, including heavier pots and containers when needed.
• Willingness to perform cleaning duties and assist the kitchen team as needed.
• Willingness to work split shifts and to relocate to Montenegro, Europe.

What we offer

• Monthly salary of EUR 700-750 on a one-year contract.
• Shared accommodation.
• One day off per week.
• A flight ticket provided, with costs reimbursed after arrival if initially paid by the candidate.
