Java Developer (remote, work anywhere)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Java Developer to join our Endless Lifecycle Support (ELS) team. The role focuses on delivering secure Java instrumentation and vulnerability remediation for diverse Java‑based environments, working fully remotely from any location.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze publicly disclosed vulnerabilities (CVEs) affecting Java open‑source libraries and frameworks.
• Investigate and identify safe, compatible versions of third‑party dependencies.
• Backport security patches from newer releases to older versions.
• Fix or mitigate vulnerabilities when no upstream patch exists.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code.
• Collaborate with engineers and security specialists to deliver production‑ready updates.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• In‑depth knowledge of Java Core and Spring.
• Experience with dependency‑management tools such as Maven, Gradle, or Ant.
• Daily use of AI tools.
• Proficiency with GitLab, Jenkins, or GitHub for CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience maintaining legacy systems and ensuring backward compatibility.
• Upper‑intermediate English or higher.
