Java Developer – Remote (Security Solutions)

About the role

TuxCare is looking for a Java Developer to join its Endless Lifecycle Support (ELS) team. The role focuses on providing secure Java instrumentation for heterogeneous Java‑based environments, analysing vulnerabilities and delivering back‑ported security patches.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze publicly disclosed CVEs affecting Java open‑source libraries and frameworks.
• Investigate and identify safe, compatible versions of third‑party dependencies.
• Back‑port security patches from newer releases to older, unsupported versions.
• Fix or mitigate vulnerabilities when no upstream patch exists.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code.
• Collaborate with engineers and security specialists to deliver production‑ready updates.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• In‑depth knowledge of Java Core and Spring.
• Experience with dependency‑management tools such as Maven, Gradle or Ant.
• Daily use of AI tools and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub).
• Experience maintaining legacy systems and ensuring backward compatibility.
• Upper‑intermediate English proficiency or higher.
