Housekeeping Shift Leader

About the role

The Housekeeping Shift Leader ensures the resort maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, you will supervise daily operations, support your team, and act as the primary point of contact for any housekeeping issues.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain overall cleanliness levels throughout Portonovi Resort.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of work performed by Housekeeping Attendants each day.
• Ensure all team members report for duty on time and have the tools needed for their tasks.
• Assist in creating staff rosters to match occupancy and guarantee adequate coverage.
• Oversee uniform condition and professional appearance of the housekeeping team.
• Identify training needs and support skill development of attendants.
• Track inventory of equipment and supplies, reporting discrepancies to the manager.
• Report maintenance issues, guest complaints, and any loss or damage to furniture or equipment.
• Control health‑ and safety‑related procedures, including lost‑and‑found, access control, security, and emergency protocols.
• Perform additional tasks as requested by the Housekeeping Manager.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar housekeeping supervisory role.
• At least one year of hospitality experience.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Commitment to delivering high‑level service.
