Engineering Manager – Language Security

About the role

TuxCare is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead its Language Security Research function. You will own a group of four teams responsible for delivering security patches for end‑of‑life and active open‑source language runtimes and frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop four engineering teams (Java, JavaScript/Go, Python, PHP) totaling 18 engineers.
• Define hiring plans, conduct performance reviews, and drive career development.
• Set technical standards for CVE analysis, vulnerability assessment, patch backporting, and security release processes.
• Ensure consistency in tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and release workflows across all language ecosystems.
• Evaluate AI‑assisted automation for backporting and vulnerability discovery.
• Own SLA compliance, align delivery with client expectations, and coordinate with OS, Docker, and platform teams.

Required profile

• Strong background in software development across multiple language ecosystems.
• At least 6 years of hands‑on development experience.
• 3+ years of engineering management experience.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and drive operational excellence.
