Senior Automation Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to join CloudLinux’s Infrastructure team. Working remotely, you will own end‑to‑end automation projects, turning business needs into reliable, unattended workflows that manage cloud cost data, inventory, network policies and capacity planning.

Key responsibilities

• Translate incomplete briefs into clear, actionable plans and track cross‑team dependencies.
• Design, develop and maintain Python‑based automation tools and cloud/infrastructure API integrations.
• Process billing, usage and inventory data, applying allocation rules and exposing gaps.
• Extend inventory, network‑policy and capacity automation while preserving necessary human decisions.
• Deliver changes via version‑controlled code, CI pipelines, and IaC tools such as Terraform/OpenTofu and Ansible.
• Own monitoring, alerts, documentation and ensure systems can be operated by other engineers.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in software, infrastructure, platform or automation engineering.
• Proven ability to explain design decisions, implementation details and operational outcomes.
• Strong production‑grade Python skills, testing and debugging expertise.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS and solid Linux/networking fundamentals.
• Practical SQL knowledge for data validation and reconciliation.
• Experience with IaC, CI/CD, Terraform/OpenTofu, Ansible and version control.
