Development Manager - Integrations

About the role

Action1 is seeking a Development Manager to lead the engineering team responsible for building and maintaining integrations between its autonomous patch‑management platform and external systems. You will combine technical leadership with hands‑on development to deliver secure, reliable integration solutions that align with customer workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of engineers, providing technical direction, mentoring, and regular feedback.
• Own delivery outcomes within the agreed scope, produce practical estimates, and make capacity and priority trade‑offs visible.
• Delegate ownership to engineers and emerging team leads, focusing on three clearly defined areas as the team grows.
• Collaborate with Product Management to define priorities, plan delivery, and translate customer needs into integration capabilities.
• Oversee design, development, and maintenance of integrations, including connectors, an Integrations Store, data mapping, authentication, and monitoring.
• Establish reusable integration patterns for retries, rate limits, duplicate events, and API version changes.
• Own automated CI/CD pipelines for building, testing, validating, and deploying integrations, and improve reliability, performance, and observability.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex software projects.
• Strong ability to provide technical direction, mentorship, and constructive feedback.
• Excellent collaboration skills with product and cross‑functional teams.
• Capacity to make data‑driven trade‑offs between short‑term delivery and long‑term capability development.
• Willingness to apply AI technologies where they enhance integration development.
