Assistant Manager, Laundry

About the role

The Assistant Manager, Laundry will oversee daily operations of the laundry facility at SIRO Porto Montenegro, ensuring timely, high‑quality service for hotel guests and client establishments. This role combines leadership, organization, and a strong focus on safety and sanitation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day laundry processing, coordinating workflow to meet service schedules and client requirements.
• Monitor inventory of laundry supplies and chemicals, and maintain accurate records.
• Oversee maintenance and repair of laundry equipment, liaising with internal maintenance teams or external vendors.
• Conduct daily briefings, assign tasks, and train new attendants on procedures, cleanliness standards, and guest service expectations.
• Schedule shifts, manage day‑off requests, and conduct performance reviews with coaching as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and lost‑and‑found protocols, and perform regular quality inspections.
• Maintain strong relationships with client representatives, addressing concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Diploma or certification in Hospitality Management or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience handling delicate clothing and guest laundry.
• Fluent spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus.
