Project Coordinator

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of migration‑related projects. Reporting to the National Projects Officer and working closely with the Chief of Mission, you will ensure project activities align with IOM policies, donor requirements, and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating, implementing, monitoring and reporting on assigned project activities.
• Compile, analyse and present data on project topics, highlighting key issues for stakeholders.
• Monitor budget execution, propose adjustments and ensure financial compliance.
• Serve as the administrative focal point, liaising with internal units and external partners to obtain clearances and follow‑up on actions.
• Coordinate visibility activities in line with donor rules.
• Prepare regular status reports, identify delivery shortfalls and suggest corrective measures.
• Draft project correspondence, briefing notes, graphics and statistical tables.
• Organise meetings, workshops, training sessions and study visits.
• Maintain effective liaison with local authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, donors and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to SOP development, concept papers and support new project design.

Required profile

• Experience in coordinating donor‑funded projects, preferably in migration or humanitarian contexts.
• Strong understanding of project budgeting, reporting and administrative procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse partners and maintain accurate documentation.
• Excellent written communication skills for drafting reports and correspondence.
