Elevator Field Service Specialist – Field Tester

About the role

Join KONE as an Elevator Field Service Specialist responsible for testing and commissioning elevators across Montenegro. This practical, field‑based position ensures that every elevator meets the highest safety, quality and performance standards before handover.

Key responsibilities

• Test and commission elevators on‑site to ensure compliance with safety, technical and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with installation teams and site personnel to confirm elevator readiness.
• Conduct electrical safety checks and mechanical tests according to EN81, Lift Directive and local standards.
• Record and report measurements, highlight issues and support corrective actions.
• Perform final inspections, produce snagging lists and assist handover and quality closure.
• Ensure safety for site personnel and the public during testing activities.
• Participate in process reviews and continuous‑improvement discussions.
• Collaborate with Installation Supervisors, Project Managers and other stakeholders to deliver high‑quality outcomes.

Required profile

• Practical, hands‑on mindset with strong technical aptitude and problem‑solving passion.
• High attention to detail and safety‑first approach.
• Ability to work independently and cooperate effectively with on‑site teams.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel up to 70‑80 % within Montenegro.
• Basic computer literacy for documentation and reporting.
• Technical education in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics or related field is an advantage.
• Previous experience in elevator testing, commissioning, installation or maintenance is preferred.
