Creative Team Lead (AI & Performance Marketing)

About the role

CapsLock is seeking a Creative Team Lead who blends creative leadership, marketing expertise, and AI know‑how to produce high‑performing visual assets for paid media. You will grow a team of AI‑driven designers, shape the visual creative engine, and ensure every output drives measurable results.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and expand a team of 3‑6 AI‑driven Creative Designers, focusing on people development as well as output.
• Own the production flow: task distribution, capacity planning, and rigorous quality control for production‑grade assets.
• Define creative direction, generate concepts, hooks and visual angles that capture attention and convert.
• Run the creative testing loop, building a database of winners, analysing failures and iterating based on performance data.
• Track new AI models and tools, become the internal expert on AI‑enabled creativity, and maintain prompt and style libraries.
• Collaborate closely with Creative Producers, Marketers, Copywriters, Media Buyers, Video Editors and the Generative AI Pipeline Engineer to align strategy, resolve bottlenecks and automate workflows.

Required profile

• 5+ years of leadership experience managing creative/design teams in digital marketing.
• Strong project‑management skills with a track record of delivering high‑quality work on strict deadlines.
• Deep visual craft knowledge (composition, lighting, color, typography) and the ability to articulate why a creative works.
• Proactive problem‑solver who builds clear processes, resolves conflicts and embraces new ideas.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Hands‑on experience with modern AI image platforms (e.g., Figma Weave, Higgsfield, Magnific, Runway) and ability to integrate AI outputs into traditional design pipelines.
• Solid understanding of performance‑marketing ad formats for Google, Meta and other paid channels.
