Network Support Engineer – Dispatch based

About the role

The Network Support Engineer – Level 1 provides first‑line technical assistance for network infrastructure, ensuring connectivity, performance, and timely resolution of incidents while aligning with business objectives and SLA requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 support for network incidents and service requests.
• Monitor network performance, identify connectivity issues, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, and basic routing/switching problems.
• Manage and update tickets within defined SLAs.
• Assist in configuration and installation of routers, switches, and access points.
• Support VPN connectivity and user access issues.
• Maintain documentation of incidents, configurations, and resolutions.
• Escalate complex issues to Level 2/3 teams as required.
• Communicate with end‑users, internal IT teams, vendors, and service providers.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
• Good communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
• 1–2 years of experience in network support or IT infrastructure (preferred).
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA (preferred).

• Routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networking equipment.
