Cluster Director, IT

About the role

The Cluster Director, IT leads the daily operations of information technology and telecommunications for two resort properties in Montenegro. Reporting to the Cluster General Manager, this hands‑on position combines individual contribution with management of internal and external resources to ensure seamless IT services across the properties.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee acquisition, maintenance and performance of all property‑based IT systems and hardware.
• Ensure PCI compliance, GDPR adherence and enforce IT policies and standards.
• Monitor network operations, perform scheduled backup/recovery and manage hardware, operating and application systems.
• Lead IT projects, prioritize resources, and ensure delivery on schedule and within budget.
• Manage property systems technicians, vendor relationships and act as escalation point for issue resolution.
• Develop and communicate system updates, user tips and incident alerts to staff.
• Maintain accurate inventories of hardware, software and licensing.
• Provide technical support to colleagues and guests, including cable management and internet services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a similar IT leadership role, preferably within hospitality.
• Strong organizational, communication and problem‑resolution abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Operating systems: Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 2003.
• Property Management Systems: Micros‑Fidelio.
• PABX, voicemail, call accounting, HRIS and Sales & Catering (Delphi) systems.
• Telecommunications: VOIP, videoconferencing.
• Network architecture and systems design.
• Certifications: MCSE, CCNA, CCNP (or equivalent).
• Audio/Visual systems knowledge (asset).
